FAQs
What's so bad about plastic toothbrushes for kids?
Most conventional children's toothbrushes are made with petroleum-based plastic and nylon bristles.
Over time, the bristles can wear down and shed tiny particles, while the plastic handle adds to ongoing waste.
What are your kids' toothbrushes made of?
We keep it simple.
Our toothbrushes are made with natural horse hair bristles woven into a sustainably sourced bamboo handle.
No plastic. No nylon. No glue. No unnecessary synthetic extras.
How are the bristles sterilised?
Our bristles go through a thorough cleaning and heat-treatment process before they are used.
The result is a clean, natural bristle that is ready for everyday brushing, without relying on harsh industrial chemicals or synthetic coatings.
What age are these toothbrushes suitable for?
Yes, for ages 3 and up.
Our kids' toothbrushes are designed with smaller hands and little mouths in mind.
Supervise younger children while they brush.
How long do they last?
Like a regular toothbrush, we recommend replacing your child's toothbrush every 8–12 weeks for best hygiene.
The bamboo handle is designed to dry well between uses, which helps it stay fresher for longer. A 4-pack gives you a long-lasting, low-waste swap for the year.
What makes your kids' toothbrushes different?
Most toothbrushes marketed as bamboo toothbrushes still use nylon bristles, which means they are only partly plastic-free.
Ours combines a sustainably sourced bamboo handle with natural horse hair bristles, without synthetic glue.
Why do a few bristles sometimes shed at first?
Because we do not use synthetic glue, the bristles are woven directly into the brush head.
That is part of what makes the toothbrush plastic-free and glue-free. A small amount of shedding can happen in the first few uses, but it settles quickly.
